The Head And The Heart
I like folk music. There's a new strain of folk music around the world that draws heavily on the "roots" music of a country, reaching back and past the folkies of the 1960s. In the UK you see artists like Mumford and Sons or Laura Marling going back to the early traditional musics of the countries of the UK for their inspiration. Here in the US you see bands like The Head and The Heart or The Civil Wars reaching into more Americana or Appalachian traditions to take their musical cues.
