"Theatre Is Evil" [2012] is a studio album by Amanda Palmer (of punk cabaret Dresden Dolls) and Grand Theft Orchestra. The album is Palmer's third solo project, following "Amanda Palmer Goes Down Under" [2011] and "Who Killed Amanda Palmer" [2008].
'Trout Heart Replica' was written after Palmer visited a trout farm where you select your fish and watch it be prepared for consumption. Whether you walk away believing this song's message is pro-vegans, the dilemma of the omnivore, or just the pain in hurting others, I think it all results in her raw voice and keyboard breaking your heart.
